Family Retreat – Herbertpur
In the month of June 5th – 7th 2019 two and half days family retreat was conducted at Anugrah Centre, Herbertpur Christian Hospital in Dehradun. 20 persons with disabilities from different churches and places (from Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Himanchal Pradesh) and their families participated in the retreat. To assist them we had 34 volunteers from local churches.
It was an exciting time for the participants, especially for the persons with disabilities as the retreat was being conducted exclusively for them. It was also an opportunity for the families to open up to each other and share stories about their journey in care taking for a person/child with disability.
